Edmonton, Alta (Dec. 20, 2023) – With the 2023 year coming to an end, we wanted to share something we’re incredibly proud of us a team. Giving back to the communities we work in and charities close to our team members hearts is very important to us. From group volunteering, participating in walks/races, client Christmas gifts and personal involvement, our team did some amazing things to raise money and spread awareness. This is all thanks to our GV Gives Back program, but it wouldn’t be anything without our involved team members.
Every year GeoVerra allocates a budget to help our team members give back through donations to the organizations they volunteer with. The goal of this this program is to encourage GV employees to be active in their communities in a positive way. With a couple years under the programs belt, we’re excited to expand the initiative to include group volunteering and once again, Christmas gifts for client partners. Check out how we gave back over $30,000 (and counting) in 2023:
Client Christmas gifts
It’s a third year of forgoing travel mugs and tangible items and gifting our clients with something that allows them to make a difference. We’re pleased to be sending our client partners Canada Helps gift card codes so they can allocate the funds to charities that mean the most to them.

New group volunteering
With COVID restrictions behind us, social clubs established and people getting back into the community, in 2023 we kicked off a new initiative as part of our GV Gives Back program – company-paid team volunteer hours. We are excited to grow this initiative in 2024. Here’s where we volunteered as teams across the country:

Holiday Parties- they’re more than a fun and festive celebration
We’re pleased to encourage our local offices to add a charity component to their holiday parties through donations, raffles and 50/50s. While these are still ongoing, we’re excited to announce the total in the New Year.
Thank you to our team members, clients and partners for all being a part of our GV Gives Back program this year. We’re happy to be donating over $30,000 (and counting) to Canadian charities and organizations in 2023. It’s another thing that makes us proud to be GV.
