Edmonton, AB (December 16, 2020) – Throughout December, GeoVerra team members are hand-delivering cheques to 25 food banks across the country. The company is focusing its efforts by giving back to organizations that dramatically impact the communities they serve and have adapted to rapidly changing needs – one being local food banks.
“We know it’s been a tough year for many people and something that cannot be ignored,” says John Nielsen, chief executive officer at GeoVerra. “We recognize so many people need assistance, and we want to take this opportunity to help and have asked our co-workers to do the same,” adds Nielsen. “Given the current office restrictions that have been put in place due to COVID, instead of a usual food drive, we’ve encouraged our employees to donate online to Food Bank Canada or drop off at their local food bank.”
The company, which just launched at the end of June, is launching its GV Cares program in 2021, focused on giving back to the communities in which it operates and charities that its team members are passionate about.
