GeoVerra, is pleased to announce that they received an outstanding 96 per cent score on their B.C. Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit.
The scope of the audit was based on a review of the directive and operational HSE documents, observational visits and virtual interviews with senior and middle managers, supervisors, and workers. Observational visits were not included due to COVID-19.
GeoVerra’s Director of HSE, Jen Alain, is pleased with the great score but recognizes that the HSE Program is dynamic in nature and will continue to grow. She comments, “We are always striving for continual improvement. We take the implementation and growth of this program seriously and will add the recommendations we received to our Annual Improvement Plan.”
The following strengths were identified during the B.C. COR audit:
-Management, leadership and organizational commitment
-Hazard assessment, safe work practices and easily accessible procedures
-Proactive reporting culture
-Incident reporting and investigation
-Injury management program
-Implementation, improvement and participation of health and safety programs
