GeoVerra Achieves 99.2% COR Audit Score and 2 Million Safe Hours

Edmonton, AB (July 8, 2026) – Safety has always been more than a requirement at GeoVerra, it is a core value that guides every project, every decision, and every team member across the organization. This year, that commitment has been recognized through two remarkable achievements: an outstanding 99.2% external COR audit score and more than 2 million hours worked without a Lost Time Injury.

Together, these milestones represent more than impressive numbers. They reflect a safety culture built on accountability, continuous improvement, leadership, and the collective commitment of our teams across Canada.

An Outstanding COR Audit Result

GeoVerra recently achieved a 99.2% score on its external COR audit across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. The audit included visits to offices and field sites across the country, interviews with team members at all levels, and an extensive review of programs, procedures, and documentation.

The results confirmed what our teams demonstrate every day: safety is embedded in how we work.

Auditors identified several strengths throughout the organization, including:

  • Strong leadership commitment to health and safety
  • Engaged and accountable team members
  • A respected and effective HSEQ program
  • Consistent use of hazard assessments in the field
  • Strong equipment maintenance practices
  • A positive reporting culture focused on learning and improvement
  • Effective safety communication and active Health & Safety Committees

As noted by HSEQ Director, Jen Alain, “The real story goes beyond the number, this result reflects our safety culture and the people who bring it to life every day.”

Two Million Safe Hours and Counting

Just weeks after receiving the COR audit results, GeoVerra reached another significant milestone: more than 2 million hours worked without a Lost Time Injury. The company officially surpassed 2,025,289 hours worked year-to-date without an LTI, a reflection of the daily decisions and safe work practices carried out by team members across the country.

Reaching two million hours without a Lost Time Injury is not the result of luck. It is the outcome of thousands of risk assessments, safety conversations, inspections, observations, reports, and proactive decisions made in both the office and the field. It represents a shared commitment to looking out for one another and ensuring everyone returns home safely at the end of each day.

Safety Culture in Action

These achievements reinforce the strength of GeoVerra’s safety culture. From project planning and field operations to leadership engagement and continuous improvement initiatives, safety remains integrated into every aspect of our business. The company’s proactive approach includes more than 25,000 annual leading indicator submissions, robust hazard assessment processes, ongoing training and competency development, and active participation from team members at every level.

Our safety performance continues to earn recognition both internally and externally, but the greatest measure of success remains our ability to protect our people while delivering exceptional service to clients.

Thank You to Our Team

These milestones belong to every GeoVerra team member.

Whether working in the field, supporting operations, managing projects, maintaining equipment, or providing support from the office, every person has contributed to building the culture that made these achievements possible. Together, we have demonstrated that safety is not simply a program, it is a shared responsibility and a defining part of who we are.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we remain focused on the future: continuing to strengthen our safety culture, support our teams, and raise the bar for safety performance across our industry.
