Edmonton, AB (March 9, 2026) – GeoVerra is proud to celebrate an extraordinary achievement. Jen Alain, Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), has been named one of Canadian Occupational Safety’s 2026 Top Women in Safety.
This national recognition highlights Jen’s more than 22 years of dedication to advancing Occupational Health and Safety across Canada, including her longstanding career with GeoVerra and its legacy companies.
As one of Canada’s largest geomatics firms, with more than 600 team members and 140 field crews operating daily in diverse environments across the country, strong leadership in health and safety is essential. Jen’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping a culture where safety is not just a requirement, but a shared value.

A Career Built on Leadership and Results
Jen is a Certified Registered Safety Professional whose expertise spans surveying, mapping and GIS, forestry, environmental and geospatial services. She has also supported projects across energy, transportation, utilities, industrial, municipal and mining sectors, giving her a uniquely broad perspective on risk management and safety program design.
Following GeoVerra’s launch in 2020, Jen led the strategic integration of health and safety programs across legacy organizations, ensuring alignment and consistency nationwide. Her approach has strengthened accountability while fostering collaboration and engagement at every level of the company.

A Milestone Achievement of One Million Safe Hours
Under Jen’s leadership, GeoVerra achieved a major milestone of one million hours worked without a Lost Time Injury (LTI). The company is now pleased to share as of February, they have achieved 1.6 million hours worked without LTI, this accomplishment reflects more than strong systems and policies; it represents a company-wide commitment to protecting one another. Through proactive training, team member engagement and continuous improvement, Jen has embedded safety into the core of how GeoVerra operates.
