Edmonton, AB (February 6, 2026) – GeoVerra is proud to celebrate an exciting milestone as we complete our first project in South America. In late 2025, our team travelled to Neuquén, Argentina to support Tecpetrol, a leading Latin American energy company, part of the Techint Group, with surveying and quality assurance on a major industrial construction project. This marks an important step forward as GeoVerra continues expanding its capabilities and reach.
Supporting Modular Construction in Neuquén
Construction of an oil treatment facility in Los Toldos II Este field in the province of Neuquén began in Q4 of 2025. While industrial development in the region is well established, this facility introduced something new to the site with modular construction.
Because previous facilities in the area were built using a traditional stick build method, the transition to a modular facility raised concerns related to on-site accuracy. Tecpetrol and the site engineering team wanted to add confidence in the reliability of the survey control network and the precision of early construction layouts before moving forward.
How GeoVerra Became Involved
GeoVerra was brought onto the project through a trusted recommendation from an engineering firm in Canada that was already supporting the build. With GeoVerra’s trusted reputation for accuracy and experience on complex industrial projects, the client requested third party confirmation of the survey control network along with on-site layout validation.

Survey Services Provided
During the site visit, GeoVerra provided key support to strengthen confidence in project accuracy and execution. Our work included:
- Survey control confirmation
- Validation of constructed infrastructure on site
- Desktop QA and QC support
- Technical recommendations for improved control and layout reliability
Project Outcome
GeoVerra’s initial site visit was a success and delivered the support the client needed. Our team completed the requested surveys, provided on-site verification, and offered recommendations regarding control monitoring and techniques for future layout. These findings helped improve and support a stronger foundation for the next phases of construction.
A Milestone Project with Real World Challenges
This project was a major achievement and an unforgettable experience for the crew involved. The team members travelled more than 26,000 kilometers, including overnight flights, and experienced a weather shift of more than 50 degrees Celsius between leaving Edmonton and arriving in Argentina.
Once on site, conditions included extreme wind, high heat, and unexpected challenges. Through it all, the GeoVerra team members remained focused, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality results under all conditions.
